I’m Chris Bollinger, a game developer based in Ashburn, Virginia. After finishing college in 2014 with a Music Education degree, I worked a few odd jobs and spent some time teaching private music lessons. I eventually realized that, despite my deep love for music education, teaching would never allow me to fulfill my long term creative goals.
While searching for a more fulfilling, sustainable career path, I explored game sound design. I quickly became deeply interested in the technical side of things, and decided to learn Unity. Before I knew it, I was several months deep on my first indie game, had cut my work hours in half in order to spend 20 hours a week teaching myself programming by making my first game, and was recording a weekly podcast about game development.
It’s quite clear to me that I will be programming games for the rest of my life. The only question now is where exactly that journey will take me. I look forward to finding out, and can’t wait to see what amazing people and fascinating projects come out of this path.
